New Music: Good Grief – Bastille

THEY’RE BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACK.

After many cryptic details and a very long wait, British four-piece Bastille have (finally) released the lead single of their sophomore album, ‘Wild World’.

In typical Bastille fashion, ‘Good Grief’ combines sombre lyrics with a euphoric beat. “So what would you little maniacs like to do first?” actress Kelly Le Brock – from the 1985 film ‘Weird Science’ – asks at the beginning of the track. What follows is a intoxicatingly catchy tune with a funk-feel. It is an interesting change of direction for the band, who have been unveiling much darker tunes at various festivals around the world.
