New Music: Somebody Else – The 1975

somebody else

Ahead of the release of their highly anticipated sophomore album, I Like It When You Sleep For You Are So Beautiful Yet Unaware Of It, The 1975 have released a fourth song from their 17-track LP. “I don’t want your body, but I hate to think about you with somebody else” front man Matty Healy sings over soft synths and a dance floor beat.

Admitting that it is “it’s a straight up 1975 song”during an interview with Zane Lowe, Somebody Else bridges the gap between the sound of the band’s debut album and what we have heard so far of ILIWYSFYASBYUOI. (While also being extremely catchy.)
